Day 1 - Iowa City

We had a nice hour long drive to Iowa City, we got there plenty early and hung out with a bunch of people who had come down to see the show from Cedar Falls. We stuffed ourselves stupid and it was about show time. The show was at Public Space One, which is in the basement of one of the University buildings right downtown. Our friends in The Powerplant opened the show and after them Mr. Johnny Irani took to the stage and swooned the women.
Josh even got in on the act.
The show went great! We played pretty clean and sold a bunch of shirts and other goodies. High Life and Lord Green played fucking killer sets. Josh, Cyrus, and I missed Dios Mio because we had a run in with the Iowa City PD and they thought we were robbing our own van, but from what I heard Dios Mio killed it.
Cyrus and I hung out with our friend Isaiah and the rest of Dios Mio in their party bus, this is my favorite picture of the night, hahaha.

We ended up finish up at the show around 1 AM and heading to a bar to have some beverages. Last call was called and we got dragged to a "after hours" bar by some locals, that was in fact a bar that was closed, we weren't welcome so we grabbed some more beverages and went to our friend Alex's to hang out for the night. We ended up sitting on his porch until morning, rolling cigarettes, drinking 40s, and listening to Merle Haggard. All in all day 1 was a fucking success.
